Creative Arts Festival 2019 - Grades 5 & 6
When you have a creative mind, nothing is better than a day to do just that... Create!
Fourteen students from grades 5 & 6 traveled to Wautoma to participate in the annual Creative Arts Festival. They each chose one class that interested them and spent the whole day learning a new skill. Doughnuts were served upon their arrival, and pizza from Christiano's was the special for lunch. Many students claim this is their favorite day of the year! The pictures below will show you why.
Katelynn & Jacquelyn learned how to weave a basket with reeds and beads.
Brynn took an Op Art Spinner class with Mrs. Doro .
Bella, Maelie and Max each built their own frame, then used t-shirts to create a woven project.
Samantha and Hailey drew and colored on a special plastic that Ms. Adams later put in the oven to create Shrinky Dink designs.
Amira and Alana "Upcycled fashion" by making their own shirts and carrying bags.
Mercedez and Ava arranged flowers and later sketched them .
Madalynn and Irelynn made abstract paintings with brayers and special tape.
Many thanks to Mrs. Martens, Mrs. Doro, and Ms. Adams for teaching classes at the festival!
