Science and Math Quiz Bowl
Students at the middle school level had the opportunity to share their knowledge and skills at the US Department of Energy's Science & Math Quiz Bowl in Madison.
After practicing for several weeks, two teams were chosen. Students continued to practice at school and also studied at home.
They gave up a Saturday to attend the competition at Chamberlin Hall at UW-Madison.
Teams competed against 20 other teams from around the state.
Questions came from several categories: Earth/Space Science, Physical Science, Life Science, Energy, and Math.
Between rounds, they enjoyed activities in the Physics Museum.
