Young Authors Participate in Conference at UW-Baraboo
Students from grades 3-6 wrote Poetry, Personal Narratives, Argumentative Essays and Creative Writing to enter the Young Authors Contest earlier this year. Winning entries were published in an anthology and students attended a day long conference at UW Platteville-Baraboo. They shared their writing and met students from a dozen different districts. Their fabulous keynote was by local illustrator Anne Horjus.

BMS LeadersLeadership students in grades 7 & 8 spent the day working as a team at Expeditions Unlimited in Baraboo. They had challenges to solve which involved working together to complete a common goal. Success in the activities turned out to be less important than the discussion and debriefing afterwards. They all came away stronger; learning more about themselves and how to work together.
