Throughout the district there are Art Clubs at almost every level. Students have the opportunity to be creative with a variety of mediums and projects they might not experience in art class.
To be in elementary art club, students fill out an application and have their name "drawn from a hat." The club meets after school one night a week (or every two weeks) for about an hour. After a demonstration lesson, students work independently or with other students at their table. In past years students have worked with clay, made paper, screen printed t-shirts, felted, made ornaments for the capitol tree and sewn needlepoint. There is a $10 fee for supplies. At Rusch and the Rurals, students need to be in grade 4 or 5 to participate.

At the middle school, students have an "open studio" and are able to use any materials available. Mini lessons are taught at each meeting (for example, wool felting, acrylic pours, or resin jewelry.) The club also rings bells for the Salvation Army, hosts a dance once a year, attends workshops at Prairie Beads, hosts guest artists, and attends a field trip every spring. Students are able to join the BMS Art Club by filling out a permission slip for the quarter they choose. The fee is $5.00 which helps to pay for art supplies and a t-shirt. It is a first come-first-serve basis and fills up very quickly (only 20 students are allowed per quarter). Art Club meets every other week on Tuesdays after school from 3:30 - 4:30 2nd, 3rd, and 4th quarters.
